Developed in 2025 for the 8th edition of Alcova Milano, the S.S. VIII (Sound System VIII), nicknamed "Infinito", represents a significant leap in the studio’s exploration of material textures and acoustic innovation. This collection of four modules, handcrafted in the Madrid atelier, introduces a sophisticated dialogue between traditional woodworking and cutting-edge 3D printing technology.

The design team evolved the collection’s aesthetic by combining black poplar plywood and aluminum with a groundbreaking element: a 3D-printed coaxial ceramic horn. This ceramic component, developed in collaboration with specialized craft-tech partners, provides a unique structural and acoustic clarity to the high-frequency range. As with the entire series, the construction follows a circular logic, prioritizing mechanical assemblies and sustainable finishes that allow for future disassembly.

Technically, the S.S. VIII is a self-powered 3-way system designed for both domestic and semi-professional listening environments. Each module is meticulously engineered with:

350W - 8Ω self-powered system with a Soft Start protection module for safe power-on.

Driver Configuration: A 12” subwoofer, 10” and 8” mid-range speakers, and a 1” high-range tweeter integrated into the ceramic horn.

Connectivity: 1x XLR input/output link and a Bluetooth receiver with a 30m range.

Integrated Control: A tone control module featuring volume, bass, and treble potentiometers, allowing the user to switch seamlessly between analog (XLR) and digital (BT) inputs.

As part of the "collections" category, Infinito showcases the studio’s ability to push the boundaries of "pro-cycling." By merging the organic warmth of wood with the technical precision of 3D-printed ceramics, the team has created a sound system that is as much a sculptural landmark as it is a high-fidelity acoustic tool, perfectly suited for the contemporary intersection of art and design.
