The ASAP collection, an acronym for "As Simple As Possible," represents a deliberate return to the foundations of lighting design. Developed in collaboration with LZF and debuted at the Salone del Mobile 2023, this project serves as a profound exploration of how basic elements can achieve a sophisticated and meaningful presence. The team approached the design with a clear objective: to demonstrate that simplicity, when executed with precision, can be incredibly powerful and evocative.

The core of the project lies in the harmonious interplay between three primary materials: copper, wood, and terracotta. The studio's experimentation with these textures focuses on their natural properties and how they coexist in perfect harmony within a single functional object. By balancing the organic warmth of LZF’s signature wood veneer with the earthy grounding of terracotta and the technical elegance of copper, they have crafted a piece that transcends mere utility to become a sculptural statement.

In creating ASAP, the team highlights the vital importance of material experimentation. Each component is selected to push the boundaries of traditional creative limits, challenging the viewer to explore new possibilities within familiar textures. This "back to basics" philosophy does not imply a lack of complexity; rather, it reflects a rigorous process of stripping away the superfluous until only the essential remains.

By integrating these diverse materials into a unified whole, the studio offers a contemporary vision of craftsmanship where the design speaks for itself. The ASAP collection stands as a testament to the idea that the most straightforward designs are often the most significant. Through this partnership with LZF, the team continues to redefine the landscape of designer lighting, proving that true innovation is found in the balance of raw materials and creative honesty.
