Developed in 2021, the S.S. II (Sound System II), affectionately known as "Milanés", is the second evolution in the studio’s series of high-performance loudspeakers. This model continues the research into "pro-cycling" initiated with El Pájaro, utilizing the same stock of upcycled poplar plywood recovered from the Materia Gris exhibition at CentroCentro Cibeles.

The design team conceived Milanés with a more compact yet equally robust presence. Its structure is characterized by a meticulous assembly of 48 repurposed boards, where the grain of the wood and the traces of its previous life are preserved and celebrated. Consistent with the collection's sustainability dogmas, the cabinets are finished with water-based varnish and held together by heat-blackened screws, avoiding the use of industrial glues to ensure the object remains fully dismountable and circular.

Technical performance remains at the heart of this piece. The S.S. II delivers a high-definition audio experience through a 3-way frequency division system, powered by high-end B&C speakers. The interior acoustic treatment features 100% recycled textile geopanels, which provide superior sound absorption and resonance control. Its specific geometry and driver arrangement are designed to offer a balanced sonic field, making it suitable for both professional environments and intimate domestic spaces.

As part of the "collections" category, Milanés exemplifies the studio's ability to transform ephemeral cultural waste into permanent, functional icons of industrial design. By merging high-fidelity engineering with a conscious material narrative, the team continues to redefine the aesthetic and ethical standards of contemporary audio hardware.
